Rajkumar Baisla (Wrestler)
Rajkumar Baisla Gurjar (born 1960) is an Indian freestyle wrestler.In August 2011,he received the Dhyan Chand Award〔http://www.yespunjab.com/info4u/item/48743-list-of-dhyan-chand-award-recipients-india-s-highest-award-for-lifetime-achievement-in-sports-and-games〕 – India's highest honour for lifetimes Achievements. ==Family & Career==
Rajkumar baisla was born in a Hindu Gurjar family of Mewla bhatti village near Loni in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.〔http://ashokharsana.proboards.com/thread/616/rajkumar-baisla-dyanchand-awardee-bharti〕 His father, Sardar Singh Baisla, was a Landlord of Loni, while his mother, Gyanwati Devi, is a housewife. In his village & loni area his family named & called as Pahelwan ji , Pradhan ji &.Baisla was inspired to take up wrestling by his Uncle Shri Pahelwan and his father, who wrestled himself. Shri Pahelwan later stopped competing as the family could only support one wrestler. Baisla trained at the akhada (wrestling school) in the Guru Jasram Akhada from the age of 16. He is a devoted Hindu and strict vegetarian. He employed with the Indian Railways as a Sport Officer.
